Scandit Data Capture SDK 6.18 Release Notes (June 30, 2023)
See also the System Requirements of the Scandit Data Capture SDK across all platforms.
New Features
Core
Added DataCaptureContext.deviceId to get the unique identifier of the device.
Performance Improvements
Barcode
Improved Aztec code scan performance for bent and crumpled codes which is especially important for Railway tickets.
Improved scan performance of up-side-down codes for 1D fixed-length symbologies (e.g. EAN/UPC).
Improved scan performance for long rectangular MicroQR (rMQR) codes with perspective distortion.
Reduced CPU usage when data-matrix is enabled by a factor of 3 in many situations.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a compatibility issue with Flutter version >= 3.10.0. Because of this breaking change <https://github.com/flutter/flutter/pull/124060> we were forced to increase our minimum supported Flutter version to 3.10.0.
Barcode
Fixed a BarcodeSelection issue where the “toggle selection” setting was ignored and the scanner was acting as in “repeat selection” mode when BarcodeSelectionSettings.singleBarcodeAutoDetection was enabled.
Deprecations
Barcode
TrackedBarcode.shouldAnimateFromPreviousToNextState has been deprecated. TrackedBarcode.location returns a continuously interpolated location so animating between locations is no longer needed.
ID
Deprecated IdCaptureListener.didFailWithError().
