Scan a specific barcode

Case 1: Scan a single code

1. Install our Scandit demo app from the Apple/Google Play Store
2. Open the “Any Code” mode
3. Scan the barcode

This will give you information about the symbology (e.g., EAN 13, QR code, …) and the symbol counts (if relevant). Then, check that:

1. The symbology is enabled in your code. To enable a symbology, open your platform’s section in our documentation and refer to the “Integrate the Scandit SDK into your app” documentation guide.
2. Symbol counts: some symbologies have only certain code lengths that are enabled by default (see defaults here: symbologies). To change it, open your platform’s section in our documentation and refer to the “Changing the Length of the Barcodes to Decode” documentation guide.
