Log Category
Defined under the namespace Scandit.Datacapture.Core
- LogCategory
Added in version 8.7.0
The kind of activity a record describes. The values are bit flags, combined into the mask passed to ScanditLogger.setCategories().
Category and LogLevel are checked independently. A record is emitted only when its level passes the configured level and its category is present in the configured mask, so raising the level alone never reveals a record whose category is masked out.
The default mask is
Bridge | Lifecycle | Listener. Events is excluded from it, and must be opted into explicitly:import { ScanditLogger, LogLevel, LogCategory, DEFAULT_CATEGORIES } from 'scandit-react-native-datacapture-core'; ScanditLogger.setLevel(LogLevel.Debug); ScanditLogger.setCategories(DEFAULT_CATEGORIES | LogCategory.Events);
- Bridge
Added in version 8.7.0
Calls between your JavaScript code and the native SDK, including the time each call took. Most state changes — applying settings, enabling a mode, switching the frame source — reach native over the bridge and appear here.
- Lifecycle
Added in version 8.7.0
Creation and disposal of modes, views and overlays.
- Listener
Added in version 8.7.0
Registration and removal of listeners.
- Events
Added in version 8.7.0
Per-frame event dispatch, such as session updates and the acknowledgement each one sends back to native. These records are emitted at LogLevel.Debug, but the category is absent from the default mask because a running scanner produces them continuously.
